2024 Summer Employee Party for Blessing Landscapes

Event Photography for Blessing Landscapes Employee Summer Event Party at their office location in Portland, Oregon photographed by our staff photographers, Erica and Jodhi.

The summer party event for the employees of Blessing Landscapes had several interactive ourdoor summer games each with prizes and extra raffle tickets to enter for prizes at the end.

The first game of the day was a chair balloon game where each team had to pop all their balloons by sitting on them.

Then was a soft bow and arrow game with a series to determine the winning team!

After the bow and arrow was lunch and then three more games. There was a egg dropping game, blower game and a water balloon fight to finish it off.

Not bad for a hot summer day!

New Headshot for Therapist at Pacific Center for Mind & Health

New Therapist Headshot for Tamara Randall with Pacific Center for Mind and Health

Pacific Center for Mind and Health selected our Basic Headshot Session which provides a 20 minute headshot session and one image selection from the proof gallery, to provide the company with a professional therapist headshot. We photographed Emily Padilla, another therpist at Pacific Center for Mind and Health and matched the headshots for consistancy on the website.

We photographed our client in our natural light studio, Studio Northwest, located in Portland, Oregon using our south facing window light and light modifiers.

Lighting Setup

We used window light from the large windows and V-flat light modifier to create shadow on both sides of Tamara’s face.

When using natural light the diffused light acts as a very large wide band of light like a 7 ft umbrella modifier for strobe photography. A trick we use when on site and natural light is not available.

Below is an example of our studio set up . The studio setup is using the large windows and v-flat modifier. An additional modifier is used during the session.

Final Delivery

After Tamara made her image selection from the proof gallery and the final selection went through post production (retouching, cropping and formatting) an email with a download link will be sent.

Clients will receive Large Web and Print file formats in multiple cropping options delivered through Dropbox.

  • Large Web 2,000 pixels long, 72 dpi 1.5 MB

    New Headshot Portraits for Author and Creative Director Brittney Herrera

    Headshot session for author and Founder/Creative Director of
    Thunder Egg Collaborative

    Our team photographs using natural light and strobe flash to create a soft environmental look for each of our clients.

    For our client Brittney’s new headshots, we used our Natural Light Studio that has large south facing windows to allow the sunlight to illuminate the space providing diffused light for a soft flattering glow. We used a neutral background, simple style set up and posing furniture for Brittney’s headshot portrait session. 

    Brittney is the Founder and Creative Director of Thunder Egg Collaborative, an architectural design service. Her goals were to have new images to use for her upcoming book and to update her social media profiles.

    Morgan Corporation Headshots and Group Photo

    Team Group Photo and Headshots for Morgan Corporation

    We photographed the team of Morgan Truck Body, the premier producer of truck and van bodies in North America for 72 years, at their Portland, Oregon office.

    Our client wanted to update their team’s headshots and create a team group photo so we used the new logo wall of their front office space as our on-site backdrop.

    “Morgan Corporation, the industry leader in the innovative design and production of quality truck bodies for more than 60 years, announces the opening of a new manufacturing facility in Portland, Oregon, expanding the company’s number of manufacturing, parts and service centers to 12 nationwide.” —Website

    Headquartered in Portland, OR, Morgan Truck body manufacture Class 3 to Class 7 (GVW) box truck and straight truck bodies to serve dry freight and refrigerated product markets, as well as a wide range of specialty bodies to serve farmers, ranchers, contractors, landscapers and more.

    For our headshot lighting set up we used a 5ft umbrella with a diffuser on a b10 strobe flash head. For the group photo we added a second light with a 3 ft modifier. The reflective logo wall and low ceiling height was solved by placing two lights 6 feet from the ground and apart. Using the same equipment will allow for future headshot and group sessions to blend seamlessly with the photos already made.

    For the new headshots, we used a wide white painted hallway as our on-site setup. Using the white wall as the background allows us to create a custom back drop for their new headshots. This can provide consistency to future new hire headshots without having to make new ones for each staff member.

    We delivered the headshots of Morgan Corporation to all have consistent lighting and backgrounds to ensure the headshots match. This also allows for future new hires to have matching headshots later on.

    For our set up we used a 7ft umbrella with a diffuser on a b10 strobe flash head for the headshots and a second light to light the background for the group photo. Using the same equipment will allow for future sessions to blend seamlessly with the photos already made.
