“In my acupuncture practice, and through the support of Chinese herbal medicine, we will collaborate to remind your body of its ability to adapt to stressors and restore balance.” —The Road Home
“Renew your confidence in your ability to heal.” —The Road Home
“The early Chinese believed the human body had been formed from vital breaths that resembled the wind or external breaths of the universe. They also believed that the skin of the body served as an interface between the breaths of the internal world and the external breaths of the universe. It functioned as a mobile, permeable boundary allowing the movement of substances, energies, and signs outward from the body, or inward from the larger world.” –Angie Jackson LAC The Road Home
“Health was not the absence of disease, but the presence of balance: in the internal world, the external world, and the relationship between the two.
In the internal world, the vital breaths flow along twelve main pathways, or meridians, which run throughout the body. The meridians are connected to and influenced by the musculoskeletal system, the organ systems, the emotions, and the mind. The flow of vital breaths in the meridians is also influenced by: the climate, the seasons, and the physical environment of the external world.
My work as a Chinese medicine practitioner involves assessing the movement of these vital breaths, understanding internal and external stressors that influence their movement, and inserting needles in points along the meridians and prescribing herbs to remind the body of its ability to both adapt to these stressors and restore balance.” –Angie Jackson LAC The Road Home
New headshot for Paulette photographed on-site at the client’s home. We played inside and outside with natural light that the client’s environment provided. We had a blast making these pictures!
Paulette used the Lifestyle Session, with 5 image selections included, and added two extra image selections to complete her new branding portraits.

New headshot for Kevin photographed at the new Trillium Crossing bridge in the south waterfront of downtown Portland, Oregon near the medical school OHSU.
We used natural light on a mid-morning cloudy day to make this portrait.

Portraits of Liisa at the Lan Su Chinese Garden and Tanner Springs Park in downtown Portland Oregon.
We spent time wandering around the gardens of the Lan Su Chinese Garden, adventuring in nature and the peaceful landscaping of Chinese design, while playing with light and evoking ourselves to the camera. It may sometimes not be easy to be photographed in our natural states but once we can play inside the spaces we are comfortable our personalities can really shine.

Tanner Springs Park is a fantastic back-to-nature wetland in downtown Portland Oregon, Liisa and I chose to use her go to tools to be photographed here. The city and land relationship is a testament to our own balances within ourselves. Visit Liisa at Vibe Reiki to learn more about her work.
