In studio team photos for Cerbo by MD HQ

For this on location session we used the office environment of the client’s choice as the backdrop and used strobe light as the main source of light. This set up provided consistent lighting for all of their employees which allows for future sessions of new hires to blend seamlessly. The result are well balance headshot photos the illuminate each person that projects confidence, professionalism and friendliness.

For this on location session we used the Natural Light Studio with window light as the main source of light. Large black curtains are used to add shadows. What remains is a soft glowy light to illumiate the power and professionalism of this author.

Broadway Rose Theatre Gala 2022

The Broadway Rose Theatre, which has been upgrading their space with a new stage, production rooms, and rehearsal spaces is back with their annual gala, Live and in Living Color! for 2022.

Before the final nail and brush stroke is made the theater hosted a pre-show party with party boards, live painting, a wine pull, creative activities, colorful nibbles and a a two part show.

The main feature of the event was performed with four fantastic actors and singers, starring Evan Aldrete, Jennifer Goldsmith, Michael Hammerstrom, and Malia Tippets. With music direction and piano by Darcy White.

I did an awesome workshop with photographer Jason Hill at Wacom in NW Portland in mid-April. We played with multiple different set ups, models and lighting types. It’s was so amazing the play with new mirrorless cameras from Pro Photo Supply and studio lights again since being in the photography and design program and The Art Institute of Portland.

Wacom Experience Lighting Workshop sponsored by Pro Photo Supply.

Professional photographer Jason Hill is leading a lighting workshop for beginner and intermediate photographers. Topics based around portrait lighting including one light setups and progressing into 3 and 4 lights, balancing strobe light with ambient lighting outdoors, using gels for color correction and for artistic flavor, and freezing action for fitness photography. The models and styles range from fashion to fitness.

The Portfolio Walk and Photobook Fair is a public event held in the Fields Ballroom (Marks Building) at the Portland Art Museum.
