This poet!

Shayla is a poet and author, and I had the pleasure of photographing her for a fine art project of mine, Poet Photo Project (See project here).

My first thought when I walked in to her space was, “What a solid collection of patterns, color and space. I love this!”

Shayla was lovely to photograph in her home with purple walls, paintings and her neon yellow aerial yoga hammock. The available light came from floor to ceiling windows facing my favorite direction, south, which allowed for diffused layers of light to pour in for these shots.
