Santa Cruz Local: Rockview Beach and Tags

One of my favorite places, aside from Seacliff’s cement ship, the S.S. Palo Alto, is Rockview beach. Tags, such as “L<3VEL1FE" was stenciled on an old wooden picnic bench on the top of the cliff (now replaced) has always stuck with me.
Rockview faces dead south and is located on Rockview Drive off East Cliff Drive in Santa Cruz, California. During the low tides you can walk along the coastline from Rockview to the end of East Cliff's local surf spot, The Hook.

Santa Cruz Local: Balance and Access

As I wandered East Cliff Drive’s Coastside I came across a wonderfully balance piece of natural art as well as a staircase with access to the streets above, or the coast below. Depending on what direction you choose to go. Either way, up or down, pieced together or spread apart; there is beauty in keeping respect for our beaches and ourselves. Cheers to clean air, water and food.
